Dr Brenda graduated from the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon,SK with Great Distinction in 1994. She has worked mixed practice, emergency and small animal practice as a locum, an associate and as a practice owner. In 2000, she established Cowichan Veterinary Services, a full service clinic for pets and provided housecall appointments in the Cowichan Valley, on southern Vancouver Island. Witnessing skyrocketing pet illness, in spite of western medicine's best practices, Dr Brenda chose to retire from traditional practice to focus on minimizing health problems by optimizing our pet's wellbeing with alternative strategies.
Dr Brenda follows the guidelines of Hippocrates (450 B.C.) the Father of Medicine, supporting our pet's amazing healing abilities and letting food be their medicine, and above all - not causing harm!
Doesn't that just make sense?
